If you are reading this I have to assume you love books as much as I do! This past year I listened and read my way through my fair share of books. I’ve narrowed down the top top 5 must-read books from 2020 that I think you’ll love!
Full disclosure, I listen to a book or two a month and only actually read a physical book a couple times a year. This may sound dramatic but audiobook are one of the best things I’ve ever discovered. One year for Christmas Andrew got me a year subscription to audible and I have never looked back. As a busy mom it’s hard to find the time to sit and read a physical book, so this allows me to listen in while I’m folding laundry or in the car running errands. You receive one book per month, any cost or length for one credit. It is $15 a month, and I usually try to select books that are 10 hours or greater in length to last a full month!
I mainly gravitate towards thrillers, but every now and then I branch out!
- This book took me a while to get my head around and I plan to re-listen. A lot twist and turns until the very last page.
4. What Alice Forgot – Liane Moriarty
- What Alice Forgot made me oddly emotional. It goes through how you start you life/marriage with so little worries. It then shares how things can shift when we lose focus on what’s really important. I also LOVE this author, haven’t read a book yet by her I didn’t enjoy.
3. The Couple Next Door – Shari Lapena
- I read this book at the book a year or so ago, but couldn’t remember for the life of me what happened or the plot. Gave it a re-listen and it’s a good one. Kind of my worst nightmare coming to life, ahh keeps you on the edge of your seat.
2. Right Behind You – Lisa Gardner
- I started this book the last week of December and finish in no time. Wow the opening story is heartbreaking and also pulls you in deep. I instantly became attached to certain characters and wanted to keep reading to see how their life ended up.
- OH MY, there really aren’t words for this book because it’s base on a true story. Whenever I read about this time period I am shocked, saddened and interested. This book is so well written. I cried the entire way through, 5 stars!
