We’ve slowly been revamping each room in our home to make it feel a little more like “us”. We were on the fence about moving a while back, but we decided to stay put and save up for our dream home. One of the rooms that has been sadly neglected for years now, is our Master bedroom. We haven’t done much of anything in terms of decorating it and truthfully, I had no idea where to even start. MASTER BEDROOM MAKEOVER REVEAL
When designing our master bedroom I knew I wanted something that would be calming and peaceful, while maintaining a timeless feel. I am not planning on changing our master bedroom up for a while with baby number two on the way, so I wanted something I would love for years to come. We discussed everything from changing up the layout of the bedroom to sourcing the perfect products for the room.
I ordered the grey upholstered bed and wood toned dresser through them and could not be happier with the experience. Not only did they deliver the pieces right to my door, but they took the time to set them up exactly where I wanted them. They even gave me the opportunity to look things over before they left in case I wanted to make any changes to the placement. From start to finish the entire process was so seamless. I especially loved that their design team was able to make my vision come to life!
Once we had the main furniture pieces in place, it was time to pull everything together with the decor! We added a neutral rug that compliments the white walls and pulls out the wood tones. It has a little blue in the floral pattern, which ties into the pillows perfectly. The trick to making any room feel complete is to add a touch of greenery. We placed the fiddle leaf fig tree in a woven basket for added texture. Finally, we added natural and white color-blocked jute poofs to the end of the bed. They double as a great place to put your shoes on in the morning, but also seem to tie the room together.
We decided to opt for small scale dressers as nightstands. This helps to fill in the space of such a large scale room. The crisp white with the brass handles are the perfect combination. Plus, you can throw everything you need in drawers and don’t have to worry about it looking messy. I know that feature will come in handy a lot when my nightstand is full or diapers and nursing cookies here soon!
