As many of you know we just got back from the beach! It was amazing and a much needed vacation. Currently I am getting back into the swing of everything which means catching up on blog post, sales and post! My number one question besides how I did my hair at the beach was about the books I took! A couple of months ago I did a HUGE poll asking for yall’s favorite books. I was actually pretty overwhelmed by the feedback and couldn’t believe the response. I formed a blog post after that called Best Reads of 2018 and plan to add to it each year!

I actually looked my own blog post to find some good books to read at the beach. I chose The Couple Next Door, My Husbands Wife and The Lying Game.

The Couple Next Door – This is the perfect easy beach book. I don’t know about you but when I am at the beach I want something that is easy to put down and pick up right where I left off. I would give this book an 8.5/10. I really enjoyed the plot it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I don’t want to say to much or give anything away but I would highly recommend it if you enjoy books like Girl on the Train and The Women in Cabin 10. This book came highly recommended and to be honest I didn’t know what to expect but it actually leaves you with a few questions at the end which was interesting! If you have read it I would love to talk to you about the ending!

My Husbands Wife – This book was a very good read, however it has a much more in depth plot development than The Couple Next Door. It was actually a pretty though provoking book that makes you think about the justice system, what it would be like to be a lawyer and how where we come from can effect or not effect our future as much as we allow it to. It definitely did not go in the direction I thought it would but I would say over-all it was good reach….. maybe a little more than an easy beach beach. I would give it a 7/10 it was well written, interesting plot but in the end I probably would not read it again for a while.

I never got to the Lying Game, I will start it in the next week and let y’all know how it is!
