Welcome to my world of style, sunshine, and adventure! I'm thrilled to share my passions, experiences, and fashion finds with you all. As a happily married mom of two with a background in nursing, my life is a beautiful blend of family, career, and selfcare.
Hey Ladies!
I am so excited about todays post. Having just had a baby and going through the process of making a baby registry at four different stores, I wanted to share a way to get everything you are wanting all in one place. When I say I had no clue what to register for I mean it. I basically clicked one of everything and just figured we would figure it out as we went. Thank goodness some of my girlfriends took me under their wings and helped me sift through to narrow it down a little. That is my goal here for you! No matter what stage of life you are in, expecting, new mom or no clue when a babe is coming it’s nice to have a resource that is short, sweet and to the point about products you want when that time comes.
In April Walmart introduced their baby registry and I was honestly shocked at the amount of products they have. The site is easy to use and I made a “practice registry” just so I could report back how it was. It was a breeze, Walmart even has tabs on the side listing what the most common items people reciter for are. That would have been SO helpful when I started my registry.
We have loved this pack n play and know that we will get long term use out of it. Right now it is sitting in our living room, which has been so convientent. It includes a changing pad and bouncy seat on top. When she is older we can remove both of those and take the pack and with us when we are taker her somewhere know she will need to nap. We even plan to take it to the beach next summer and have her sleep in it. Another great plus is the storage on the side. We don’t have to run upstairs for diaper, wipes or an extra change of clothes.
These are something we use at the hospital all the time and therefore was something I knew I wanted to register for because they are so great and the babies sleep so sound in them.
I was so surprised Walmart even had one of these, but they do, and in a few colors too! I lay Elle down to sleep in this WAY more than I thought I would. She actually is in it right now as I type this post haha. The reason why this is so great is because it’s so portable. While she is sleeping I can pick her up and bring her from the couch to the kitchen without waking her up! She seems to really enjoy it as well.
Let me just tell y’all, this is my number one lifesaver since being home with a premie. The first night this Owlet gave me such a peace I can’t even explain. Being nurse I worried I would either obsess about the Owlet or I would be casual about it. If I got crazy with it I was going to make myself stop using it so I would chill. To be honest our first week I was obsessed with it now it something I look at right before I go to sleep to make sure she is ok, but I don’t sit and stare at the numbers.
Elle is still in our room and sleeps in this bassinet. It is awesome! Has storage on both sides and easy to see her though the netting. I also love that the entire bassinet is breathable. I woke up and found her face right up against the netting one night and knowing that she was completely fine was really nice.
Another thing we used every night. Right now we are in the Premie versions. Once she reaches 7 pounds she will be able to fit in the ones I linked. I really like them and feel like they are super secure.
We don’t use these really for swaddling because they are so big, we use them to put over her when we hold her or place around her legs when she is in the Dock A Tot or Mamaroo just to keep her warm! I love that they come in such pretty patterns and are light weight enough to not make her too hot over the summer with all this heat.
Elle LOVES bath time! She fell asleep one night while we were giving her a bath haha. This one is very comfortable and even though she is little bitty she fits in it!
Best part of this brush is two things. One it sticks to you counter, which I feel helps keep it cleaner and allows it to not get mixed up with food scrub brushes. It also has a point on the end to clean the inside of nipples for your bottles so they get really clean.
This is the only item out of the 20 that I have ordered but do not have yet. I will let y’all know what I think when it gets here. I have read good reviews.
Honestly, choosing a bottle was something I went back and forth on. Dr. Browns, Como Tomo, Avent….. the list went on. We just ended up choosing Avent because she want overly gassy and they didn’t come with a ton of parts. We barley have left the house and I’ve already lost two bottle tops haha. If we had a bottle with a ton of parts I’d loose them for sure.
Because I am exclusively pumping right now both of these have been a lifesaver. The Spectra pump was free from my insurance. It has been great and I can pump between 10-15 min each time. Between each pumping session I place these pads in my bra and they are amazing because if not I leak through alllll my clothes.
We are getting two uses out of this right now. One is the standard. The second was recommended by our NP. Instead of diaper cream we are using it on Elles booty with diaper changes. It is a very gentle option and has cleared up her diaper rash.
Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring todays post, as always all opinions are my own.
