Simple, Easy and Effortless Bun Tutorial
It’s that time of year again, wedding season!
Usually we have a few weddings over the summer but the majority will be during Fall. We have already had two in August, one is in October and the other November. Having a September Anniversary myself I can say with confidence, Fall is a great time of year to get married. But that always poses the question, what do you wear and how should you style your hair? That’s why I’m here today- to bring you the very best simple, easy effortless bun tutorial that will carry you through all of wedding season!
They Say it’s Good Luck if it Rains on Your Wedding Day
On our actual wedding day it POURED rain. I am not just talking a light drizzle, I mean we actually have pictures of the wedding venue owners shoveling water from inside the cover reception area to attempt to keep things dry. I knew it was a possibility but just kept trying to think positive.
When the radar went from a 10% chance of rain to 100% chance of rain I really tried to not get down, but was pretty bummed. By some miracle from The Lord at 3pm everything stopped. We spent the entire morning trying to come up with a good Plan B. We moved chairs inside, changed lighting, rearranged flowers. When the rain finally stopped, we took everything back outside. The venue owners literally had leaf blowers to blow water off the seats for the outdoor ceremony! It was a mess, but a beautiful one. We got married outside and the rain actually cooled everything off to a nice 65 degrees so no one was sweating. It’s funny how things workout!
The Perfect Effortless Bun
Although I will be the first to tell you I love wearing my hair down it’s just not realistic with the heat and humidity in GA, if I don’t want to be a frizz ball by the end of the night. Knowing this I had to come up with an easy, go-to wedding hairstyle that “looks” fancy and formal without taking longer than ten minutes to whip together.
I shared a video at the bottom of a step by step effortless bun tutorial or you can tune into stories today. It is my go-to when I know it’s going to be hot, and don’t want to waste time curling my hair only for it to be straight when we step out of the car. I truly get compliments every time I wear it and asked who did my hair. So if you’re like us and weddings from March are rolling into Fall pretty quickly, and you’re looking for a creative way to style you hair, give the bun a try!

My dress is perfect for any bride! I love the midi length and it is definitely one that can we worn next Spring. I purchased from target, so you know the quality and price point are great too. It’s fully lined and if you’re between sizes, size down one!
