I know traveling can be hard- especially to places like Disney. I'm here to simplify that for you!
Family
Welcome to my world of style, sunshine, and adventure! I'm thrilled to share my passions, experiences, and fashion finds with you all. As a happily married mom of two with a background in nursing, my life is a beautiful blend of family, career, and selfcare.
Whew what a crazy week! I feel like it is flying by and there is still quite a bit on the to do list … time to hustle right? I work at the hospital tomorrow and then this weekend is mine and Andrew’s 6th wedding anniversary. This is kind of a tangent but …. last year we went to dinner for out 5 years and then we had a beach trip planned. The previous Christmas Andrews mom gave me tickets to Universal as my present. We waited ALL YEAR and finally that October (almost a year later) we were going to go!
So…we go to dinner (9/21) and two days later we find out WE ARE PREGNANT!!! To say we were shocked is an understatement. Oh my gosh CRAZY excited, emotional and nervous. Then we went to the that weekend. It didn’t really sink in that we were having a baby yet. We decided that we should still go to the park we figured that there would be some rides that I would be able to ride and we are big Harry Potter fans so we knew we would love that too. When we got there EVERY SINGLE ride said do not get on if expecting. Before you think (why in the world did y’all even go) keep in mind we have been pregnant like 72 hours and its out first time at this whole thing. So we decided it wasn’t worth it to even chance getting on a ride and we spent like $60 on chicken fingers and went home. It was a huge turning point in life really. Not to get too deep but I think it was the start of realizing that Eloise is worth everything. A huge part of parenting is the giving of yourself, your time, and pouring it into your babe.
This time a round we won’t be going out of town, we usually go to the beach or a resort. But with Andrew opening his SF we are choosing to stay here this year. When Andrew looked at me and asked what we should do the first thing that came to my mind was ROLLERCOASTER REDEMPTION haha. As of right now we are planning to go to six flags (like we are 12) and then go to a nice dinner after. I feel like everything is coming full circle and it’s going to be a blast.
Now on to this outfit! When we went to NY last year I went to Pinterest looking for inspiration. One of my favorite bloggers was sporting a full suede coat from J crew workin it in the city. I LOVED the look and was hoping to get the coat and put my own spin and vibe on it. When I went to check the price it was well over $200….. honestly I didn’t feel like for my little inspiration burst on Pinterest this was an investment I was willing to make. When I saw this coat on Walmart for $30 I was shook/ and purchased instantly.
It has a trench coat vibe, the belt, the collar and length are all on point. It has a little bit of stretch to it which is nice for when you want to tie it. I also love that it comes in three colors, there is something for everyone. I got mine in two days and am in a small. I would say it runs TTS and it VERY comfortable and soft.
Pairing it with cheetah booties was a no brainer! I linked two pair, each with a different heel high and both under $50!
