EEKKK if you read this morning’s Instagram post then you know how excited I am to share that I am teaming up with Chateau Elan Winery & Resort to give away a night’s stay to you and whoever you choose! I wouldn’t be too surprised if all of your friends started buttering up right about now in hopes they get to go with you. It was a MUCH needed weekend to relax and regroup! I wanted to celebrate surviving the Nordstrom Sale and all that goes into it.  Also I needed to take a second and thank Jamie for her help during that time as well.

I thought it would be fun to breakdown our day, so when you get to go you have a rough idea of what there is to do onsite at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort! I want to start by saying the site is extremely safe, everyone wore a mask and they are asking all who stay onsite to wear one as well. We had access to hand sanitizer everywhere. They have made little changes like: no housekeeping coming in your room, rather you call and request what you need more of and they will bring it to your room. Another small change is no valet parking, but we got a great parking spot only a few feet from the front door!

We only live an hour away, I may have missed a turn or TWO (my bad) but we finally made it! Check in is at 4 but we had the entire day booked up from the time we stepped on site. Knowing we only had one night we really wanted to soak it all in.

You really miss out of the full experience if you don’t take a time to experience the spa. It is AMAZING!! What a treat it was to get pampered. When I went in 2018 with my mom and sister in law we didn’t realize that if you make an appointment at the spa you have access the ENTIRE day- pre COVID this meant steam room and sauna included. Now you still have access to the hot tub and indoor pool you just need to make an apt for a time slot to minimize how many people are there at one time.

You want to arrive early to your apt so you can check in, get a temp check and sit by the fire. It was such a dreamy way to start the day. Guest can stay in room adjacent to the spa as well and there is a restaurant if you plan to eat before or after. We each got a 50 min Swedish massages and then went to sit in the quiet room for a few minutes after. FIVE STARS.

**Side note you can take the shuttle anywhere on the property. Just have the front desk call and they will come get you in no time.

We were able to get checked into our room. We did a quick change and got ready for Tea and This was truly beautiful and such a sweet experience! We took our time and didn’t feel rushed at all. Even though the portions are small we left so full because they bring each of you a pot of tea. Jamie chose the Big Hibiscus tea and I went for a sweeter vibe with White Petal. My personal favorite thing we ate was the Salmon and creme cheese stuffed cucumber I could have eaten that all day.

Next we went to the bar area at Versailles. We each got a cocktail, the Day Dreaming and Jungle Bird did not disappoint and after we shuttled over to wine tasting which is over at the Marc restaurant. We heard about how the wine is made, and details for processing different types of grapes. It was very interesting. At this time (due to COVID) they are not allowing wine tasting, however you can purchase by the bottle or glass. We sat outside and enjoyed the site, it was FAB!

We had a little time before dinner and decided go back to the room, freshen up our hair and get changed. We shuttled back to Marc and requested a patio seat for dinner. We ate and watched the sunset. I know it sounds like a movie but it pretty much was!

We loved the charcuterie board, biscuits were to die for , and then we kept things healthy with Brussel sprouts. We ended up switching main courses. Jamie loved the Mahi Mahi which I ordered and I couldn’t get over the Lobster Ravioli. It’s not something I would normally order but we didn’t even remember to get pictures because it was so good we dove straight in.

Finished it off with decaf coffee, cheesecake and creme brule. We we did in fact roll to our room and go straight to bed. It was beyond all my expectations. Everyone was so kind and we truly felt like we stepped out of reality for a day and into the most magical vineyard experience.
