Happy Sunday!!
When you find out you’re pregnant it is such an exciting and scary time. I remember the joy in our first ultrasound, sharing the news with all of our parents and siblings. I mean the looks on their faces and the reaction is seriously priceless and will stay with me forever. Truly I am so thankful that we have people in our lives that want to celebrate this with us. I’m not trying to get sappy right off the bat. Anywhooo, then you get to register. I feel like whatever you did for your wedding registry really plays a big role in what you do for your baby registry.
For us, we dated all of high school and college. By the time we got married we were so young and the first of our friends to tie the knot. I had only been to one wedding before ours and had never really thought about what you should register for. After now being in almost 20 weddings and helping girlfriends with all their registries I really wish we had known what were doing. We didn’t register for hardly anything. We were so worried to register for nice things and ended up with so many gift cards because everything off our registry was purchased by the first shower. When it came to setting up our baby registry I decided I was going to register for everything but the kitchen sink, so much so that my girlfriends at work had to do an intervention. haha I am not even kidding they found me one day, sat me down and made me weed out the things we would never use.
One thing I was insistent on keeping was the Owlet and the Owlet camera. Not even knowing that Elle would arrive 5 weeks early I already knew it was something that (esp. as a nurse) would bring me such peace. Having brought home a 4 would 4 oz baby I would never have slept one wink without it. In my personal opinion it is a MUST have piece on your registry. I was worried it might make me crazy and had told Andrew if I become too obsessed then call me out and we can talk about. Honestly I don’t sit and stare at it, I just turn it on, check to see she is ok and stable. I then have the peace of heart and the ability to roll over and get solid sleep knowing she is being monitored the entire time. It really does “free me up” so to speak to be able to not feel like I have to have eyes on her at all times.
Like I said last month Walmart has EVERYTHING under the sun available to add to your registry, including the owlet sock and camera. We just got the camera to go with the sock and we LOVE IT! It is so nice to have everything on your phone, and all on one screen (as seen above). We don’t have to flip back and forth between apps to get the full picture of how she is doing, it is all right there for us. I will be sure to share more of the “how to” work it in stories today!
Thank you so much for stopping by, this posts sponsored by Walmart. As always all opinions are my own.
Xoxoxo
