Happy Monday!
This weekend was CRAZY, like straight up crazy town. We got back from New York on Monday and I scheduled to shoot with Katie on Tuesday, needless to say I got a little behind on unpacking and organizing post NYC. Well, Friday was my day to get my life together. I woke up early, drank coffee, put on You’ve Got Mail in the back ground and was trying to crank out all the blog post and email responses possible complete when I get a call from my husband. Mind you I am still unshowered and in my Pj’s at 11 am. He proceeded to ask me if the hospital that I work at call a “Code White”. A code white stands for inclement weather, and nurses must be at the hospital to work. I literally had no idea what he was talking about because I hadn’t even looked outside yet, to my surprise SNOW and a lot of it was coming down hard. My phone had been on silent and I saw then that it was blown up with text from girls I work with about what I planning to do for the Code White situation on our hands. By 12 I was showered, bag packed and out the door to head to the hospital. I am going to be honest I had been really needing a day like Friday. You know the type of days where you don’t leave your house, you get some much done that you need to get done, and you pretty much don’t even put on make up for a full 24 hours because you are behind the scenes crushing life…….yeah that’s not how Friday ended up going. haha
When we got down to where we work (a girlfriend I work with and I rode down together) we grabbed some Mexican and then were just going to go to Starbucks, I was going to finish my blog post for the day and work on emails and she was going to hang and drink some coffee while we waited for beds at work. Ya’ll you know it’s serious when Starbucks is closing in downtown Atlanta! Everything was closing right before our eyes. We literally sat in the Kroger deli section charging our phones so they would have battery in case something happened on our way into work. It was a pretty strange place we ended up and we just couldn’t stop laughing at it!
We spent the night, worked our Saturday and Sunday I took the day to be screen free and just enjoy time with Andrew we ended up with 11 inches! But now I am back! PRAISE HANDS!
!
^^ This look is next level laying! Take a cowl neck sweater that is a little longer and out a plaid dress under it, YESSSS!!! You just doubled the number of looks you can get out of this one top!
^^ These are 2016 Franco Sarto boots but they have this color stocked in this years style! It is a great neutral that goes with literally everything!
^^ How cute us this touch of plaid underneath, it gives this sweater just a little life and color! It comes in about 6 other colors and is being restocked online! Ill let you know when that happens. I have already worn it with high waisted boot cut jeans and with skinny black jeans, now layering with a dress, there is not telling how much wear you can get out of this look!
Thanks for much for stopping by and reading my weekend SAGA…..I just wanted y’all to know why I was a little MIA this weekend. Thanks so much for taking the time to read today’s post!
